We are pleased to invite you to The Second International Doctoral Conference on Advances in Chemistry , a conference for PhD candidates organised (mainly) by PhD candidates. The conference will take place on November 7 and November 8, 2025.
The first afternoon will feature two invited lectures by prof. Jiří Barek (analytical chemist from Charles University) and Soňa Hříbalová, Ph.D. (postdoc at UCT Prague focusing on cutting-edge research in ceramics) as well as some sought after networking opportunities. The second day will be full of interesting talks presented by you, the PhD candidates in chemistry.
Venue
The in-person part of the conference will be held in the Dejvice Campus, in the buildings of the University of Chemistry and Technology, Prague (Technická 5, Prague 6, Czech Republic).
If you are further from our venue, we are happy to help you with securing a room in UCT Prague dormitories/hotel, or offer the possibility to present your contribution on-line.

We are pleased to inform you, that thanks to our parntners, the conference is free of charge to all active participants. In-person participants will be able to enjoy complimentary coffee breaks and lunch at UCT Prague. So don't forget to let us know about your dietary preferences and restrictions in the registration.
Registration
The registration is open till October 31, 2025 or till the capacity has been filled.
Abstract submision
Abstract are to be submitted to idcacprague@vscht.cz by October 31, 2025. Participants are kindly asked to use the provided abstract template and keep their conttibution within the 6000 characters limit (including spaces and everything). Only use of your own original graphics is permissible. The abstract will be published in a conference proceedings and an ISBN will be attached to it.
Programme
After the registraion finishes, the programme will be made available in the begining of November.
Presentations
The presentations are to be made in english and should last 10 min. Each presentation will be followed by a Q&A (ca 5 min).
In person participants will have the opportunity to upload their pptx or pdf files on a computer during the coffe break prior to their session.
Virtual participants will share their presentation from their computer. In the hybrid form, virtual participants are encorugaed to secure a calm enviroment with good connection as well as to share their video.
Best presentation awards
Same as the last yerar, we are happy to inform you, that the best presentation in each session will be awarded a prize of 1000 CZK.
