IDCAC 2026

We are thrilled to welcome you to the webpage of The Third International Doctoral Conference on Advances in Chemistry , a conference (mainly) for PhD candidates organised (mainly) by PhD candidates. The conference will take place on November 6 and 7, 2026 in the Dejvice campus, Prague, Czechia.
Fees
We are pleased to inform you, that thanks to our partners, the conference is free of charge to all active participants. In-person participants will be able to enjoy complimentary coffee breaks and lunch at UCT Prague. So don't forget to let us know about your dietary preferences and restrictions in the registration.
Scope & Sessions
If you are a PhD candidate or a post-doc (max 8 year after PhD, maternity leave excluded) working in chemistry, life-sciences, material sciences, or deal with data science, this conference welcomes you and your contributions in the following sessions:
- Inorganic Chemistry
- Organic Chemistry
- Biochemistry
- Environmental Chemistry
- Analytical, Physical and Computational Chemistry
- Chemical Engineering and Technology
- Data analysis and AI in Science and Technology

Registration
The registration to all active participants (= those presenting) is open till October 9, 2026, or till the capacity is filled.
We kindly ask participants to keep the registration email copy (automatically send at the end of the registration) to update their preferences over the time as their registration link from the email will be active till the closure of the registration.
Abstract
The abstract will be published in a conference proceedings (with ISBN & DOI) published under a CC BY licence.
Participants are kindly asked to:
- Use the provided abstract template (i.e. download it, and write into it, do not just copy styles).
- Keep their contribution within the 6000 characters (including spaces and everything) and/or 2 pages limit (whichever comes first).
- Only use original graphics.
- Name their files as [SesseionNumber]_[Surname].docx
(Sessions numbers are listed above - e.g, 3_Novak.docx) - Submit only DOCX, do not submit PDF.

Venue
The in-person part of the conference will be held in the Dejvice Campus, in the buildings of the University of Chemistry and Technology, Prague (Technická 5, Prague 6, Czech Republic).
Parking is available pending reservation through the registration form.
Those who can't join us in person are welcome to join us on-line. The Zoom link will be provided once the programme is set.

Accommodation
If you need to stay in Prague, UCT Prague dormitories/hotel offer a discounted (max. 37 EUR/night.person, more likely 17 EUR/night.person) accommodation at K Verneráku 950, Prague (cca 1 hr from the campus by public transport).
If you are interested in staying, let us know as part of your registration. You're welcome to stay even before/after the conference and discover Prague a bit.
Visa & travel to Czechia
If you are not an EU national/holder of the Schengen visa, it is possible you might need visa. In such case, get in touch with us ASAP, so we can provide you with confirmation of your attendance & accommodation. While these letters are not a guarantee you will receive your visa, they can help.

Presentations
The presentations details:

- Format: PPTX or PDF, 16:9
- Length: 10 min (+ ca 5 min Q&A)
We kindly ask our speakers to:
- name their presentation as [SessionaNumber]_[Surname].pptx or .pdf
- upload their presentations no later than om 07.11.2026 through this link.
In person participants will have the opportunity to upload their presentations on computer during the coffee break prior to their session. A virtual presenter (Logi Spotlight) will be available, so virtual participants can see the pointer as well.
Virtual participants will share their presentation from their computer. In the hybrid form, virtual participants are encouraged to secure a calm environment with good connection as well as to share their video. For the virtual sessions, Zoom will be used. Links are be provided in the detailed programme.
